The at present best-known german Shakespeare translator Frank Günther addressed in his book "Our Shakespeare" (2014) the Shakespeare authorship candidate Christopher Marlowe (see below brief excerpt.Transl.): Lord [Francis] Walsingham, the Secret Service head of the queen could have rescued Marlowe by helping to fake his death 1593 and smuggle him abroad, where Marlowe sent his plays and sonnets to England and let spread of Walsingham.
How could it have happened that Mr. Günther think of such a bizarre conspiracy theory, though the intelligence chief of the Queen Francis Walsingham had died already 3 years before (1590)? Günther is revealing himself clearly as conspiracy theorist. The careful historical research is not necessarily the thing of a translator.
